I love this book Wayne - great job!!!
One comment concerning project 18. I only needed to replace the Vanos oil line not the solenoid. The book said I would have to take the intake manifold off ( 4 hour ) to replace both the oil line and the solenoid. I was able to replace the oil line on my 1999 328i without removing it. It was a tight squeeze but possible. I put tape on the outside of the lower end piece to hold the two washers in place while I tried to get the screw theads in alignment. It took about 10-15 minutes to get that. Other than that the whole job took me about 1-1.5 hours working at a slow pace. Thanks |
