Header for E30

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I am looking for recommendations on replacement headers for a 1987 325is (M20). A reasonably-priced option seems to be the MSDS header. I would be interested to know if anyone has any experience with these headers and would like to see some photos of what the ceramic coating looks like. Any information / recommendations would be appreciated.

Is there any point in having headers and a free-flow exhaust if the catalytic converter is still in place?

Thanks
