M52B20 Heater Core Delete

Dear Professionals,

Please help me to do things right since I was just a new comer in Bmw town.
I am trying to ask for your instructions so that I should do a follow up on my Bmw 1997 4 Door powered with M52B20 Single Vanos Engine and 5 Speed Manual Transmission Type.
So,
Should I used the plate to block the back of the cylinder head or use a flexible hose to connect the back of the head to the rubber hose coming out from the thermostat to the hot side of the radiator using a T shape plumbing?

Please help me out if you find it possible.

Thank you very much in advanced,
And wish you all the best.
