Fault code reading

hey everyone~
i just did the "gas-pedal trick" to get my fault codes to flash (93 325is) and the only one that i read (if i was reading it right) was 1222 which according to the the fault code chart is "Lambda Control 1" i was just curious what this is and how to fix it or any other relevant information...thanks for the help

Lamda is equivalent to AFR (air-fuel ratio).
You might want to check your oxygen sensor.
Basically, ECU in your car tries to keep the air/fuel ratio at 14.6 (stoichiometric ratio) using feed back signal from your lamda sensor (or oxygen sensor).
So if the error code says 'lamda contro', it might be the EGO sensor.

I would check that the O2 sensor is operating correctly. If you send me your email address, I can send you a tech article explaining how to do it.
