Hello, I recently purchased this 325e and was told by the previous owner that it occasionally has starting issues and if I cant start it to just bump start it. After owning the car for a little over a month It began to not want to start. It would crank and crank but would not start, I replaced the coolant temp sensor (Bosch) and this seemed to fix the problem for about 2 weeks. The weird thing is that when the car does not want to start I have to bump start the car and it runs and drives perfectly fine afterward. It also seems to love cold-starts in the early morning but if I attempt to start the car around midday when it is warm out it won't start or will crank longer than usual.

Hey Sebastian, have you checked out our "How to" Tech Articles for the E30 chassis? Can't say with full certainty what the culprit is, but the TPS (throttle position sensor) and Idle control valve are common failure points. A faulty crank position sensor or a vacuum leak can cause headaches and no start issues as well.
