how do I remove my front rotors?

I want to do a front brake job on my 95 325i and replace the discs. Is there an easy technique to removing the discs?

Well, didn't have time to wait since I was in the process. Figured it out easy enough.

After removing the calipers, there is a single bolt that holds the rotor to the hub. An allen wrench will do the trick. There is also a hub cap covering that deceptively seems to want to be removed. Don't bother.

The rotors may be locked on pretty tight, so you may need to get friendly with a hammer or crowbar and give a few smacks before the rotor comes loose.

After that, reassembly is a piece of cake. And if you have a buddy close by to help you bleed your breaks, you're in good shape.

champ,

usually, you dont have to bleed the brakes when changing the brakes. All you have to do is compress the piston back into the caliper with a large C clamp..

yeah. I did compress the caliper pistion with a c-clamp, and the brakes still seemed pretty stiff - no air - but wanted to flush out the old fluid.
thanks
