Z3 Airbag Control Unit
Having had the airbag control unit on my Z3 2.2i (2001) reset after a no-impact firing (a brick bounced up and hit the chassis underside, no damage) can I just plug it back and go or do I need to do anything with the sensors? It is a 2 airbag European spec car and I have replaced the airbags, seatbelt tensioners and main red power lead from the battery.

You are probably going to need an ABS/Airbag reset tool to clear the fault codes once you have everything installed properly.
I have a DIY article below which makes mention of resetting the light when replacing the seatbelt pre-tensioner. Although it is on a US-spec car, the procedure should be very similar: https://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/BMW-Z3/45-BODY-Front_Seat_Removing_and_Buckle_Replacement/45-BODY-Front_Seat_Removing_and_Buckle_Replacement.htm |
