2006 325i multiple codes out of nowhere

My car has been driving like a dream until 4 days ago driving 65 my ABS light comes on, car slows to 40, then back up to 65, ABS light goes out, no more driving that day. Next day and thereafter once past 8 miles, car pretty much stuck in first gear. Mechanic pulled 5 codes, one being 5dc1, right rear wheel speed sensor. Those are the symptoms I am getting as well. The check engine light is not on. Any chance he fixes the right rear wheel sensor, the other codes may go away? The other codes tie to ABS. He is hesitant to fix as he feels the transmission is going out yet there are no codes for that. Any help anyone can give would be so appreciated. Thank you.

That is possibly the culprit given the description you are giving. the wheel speed sensor is very easy to change so that would be the best thing to try first. The other codes probably have something to do with it too but either way it seems like it is drivetrain problem not an engine problem
