Bmw ac belt replacement

Not sure how I screwed up replacing my ac belt on a 94 325i but I can not get the tensioner to tighten up after replacing the belt. Any ideas or help appreciated!

Wrong belt??? Have you compared the old belt to the new one's length? Was the old one thrown off or broken? If you got one from a local parts store check Pelican for the correct length.
