New Convertable top and Hood release Lever
Looking for advice on a new top for 1989 325i. Is this a do it yourself job? Also suggestions on what brand of top? Approximate cost? My hood Release lever is broke off. I can get the hood open by pulling on the cable. But I would like to fix it with a new lever and cable. Does your cable on pelican parts include the lever?

I posted a similar question about the converible top replacement. If you do a search on this forum, someone posted a link that had instructions on doing the top yourself. from my research I found that it is recommended to have someone do it for you, which dealers charge~$2.5k. Convertible shops charge about $1.5k. You need to buy the top and it is recommended to get new straps, about $100 ea. Good luck

Look for a totalled cabrio in junkyars or watch ebay. I got a six month old top - still on the frame and just swapped out my top, frame and all. It was a one hour job and cost me only 400 bucks.
