noisy AC expansion valve
well... after an accident in which the AC had to be discharged and the condensor replaced, the expansion valve now makes a terrible hissing noise every time the valve oiperates. The local BMW place says this may not be remedied by replacing the valve and have advised me to "turn up the radio"... also said the AC may not have been properly charged prior to the accident so it wasn't hissing as bad as it is now...
question, has anyone else seen this in their E36 M3? and if so, what worked for you? The AC is blowing cold air, it is just annoying to live with that hissing noise every time the valve operates... (sounds more like the inside of a Hundai than a BMW)
