Performance Upgrades
Just got a 95 M3 and have been looking at all the goodies out there available for more HP.
Q - How does one differenciate between chips from one vendor to another, and who has experience with chips/cool air intakes, and the biggee, is the chip/cold air intake worth the bucks ??? |
Well, figure, at best you might get 10-15 HP with the cool air/chip combo. To get real power gains, you need to start doing things like exhaust, superchargers, etc....

What kind of condition is the car in now? i.e miles? oil consumption?
suspension? and most important brakes? If your gonna go fast you need to stop to. |
While I was looking for mods to e30s, I found this. It seems to me to be THE upgrade for '95 m3s.
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/index.asp?content=detail.asp?product_id=JCINTAKEEU RO How can you argue with 32 extra hp? TMS also has a collection of reviews sent to them by customers. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/pages/raves_eurohfm.htm I have no connection with TMS, and I haven't used this product. From what I've heard though, they are very reputable, and this kit seems like an unbeatable 1st upgrade. (I wish I had an e36 m3 just to get this thing :D ) This is the thing mentioned by gobuffs |
Thanks guys, and yep, the Jim C. (TMS) upgrade looks to be the best alternative out there... so... anybody using that kit wanna ony up to the bar and tell me how it is working in your car???

I will go so far as to say that TMS stuff is top quality and you really cant go wrong with it. I recently replaced my Dinan chip with a TMS one and it was a big difference in how the car ran.
