What do you guys think of BBS RX?
Hey guys-
The never ending saga of trying to find rims that make me 100% happy continues. I thought I'd be 100% happy with my contours, seeing as how I missed them so much after I sold my first set (very dumb move!) but I guess I'm not. That being said - what does everyone think about the BBS RX? Its a light wheel - somewhere between 18 and 20 lbs for the 17x8. I'm thinking of using these for the track (I'm starting to get addicted!) and just keeping my contours for street use. http://kparkdesign.com/scott/wheels.html Anyways - here are pics of the wheels. Any thoughts on these wheels? Or should I forget about owning my 4th set of wheels and just stick with my contours? Heres a recent pic of my car:

Very nice ride. Personally, (and your question boils down to personal taste) I love contours on the E36. It just really, really fits the persona of the car. BBS makes a nice wheel, no doubt about it. Again, it's all about personal taste and what you want to do with them. Just out of curiosity, if you have two sets of contours, and a set of 16", but are looking for some track wheels, what do you use your other sets for? End tables?

eBay is a great place to look for wheels, and to get ideas...

Yeah, I picked my 18"s up on Ebay for about $100/each. They aren't anything special, but look and ride nice.

If you are looking for a track wheel there are lighter wheels available and possibly for lees money (especially if buying new). Look into SSR (17x8 weighs something like 13lbs) or for less money OZ Racing Supperleggera's (same size weighs about 16-17lbs). I've seen 17x8's weigh as little as 11lbs! These will make your car turn more responsively and help the suspension stick the car to the road.

My personal choice for wheels is the Kinesis wheels. I think they have the best styling, and they are lightweight too. Trouble is, they are very expensive.

Take a look at the ADR M-Classics. I purchased a set and they look very fast. I think you will like them. I not sure if they will suffice for track use but they look really good. I get compliments all the time.
