Non-sunroof M3's

I am curious to know where I can obtain information on the E-36 M3 regarding the number of M3's built for the 1999 model year without the factory sunroof. I have a non-sunroof M3 and from what I understand, these are quite rare. How rare are they? How many were made from model year 1995-1999? Is there a website for this info?

I don't know the numbers, but your car (and mine) are definitely in the minority in the US. Tell me some more about your car (2 dr/4 dr, manual/auto). You might have a car that someone out there would like to make a race car out of.

You can check this FAQ page:

Thanks for the reply. I have a US spec 1999 2 door with manual transmission. It is titanium silver with 18" 2 piece Breyton "Magic Racing" wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Other than that and a K&N airfilter, the car is stock

Sounds like a good candidate for someone to turn into an SCCA T2 car if you sold it.

I agree, however I just purchased my car a year ago and plan on keeping it for many years to come. In the near future I will acquire a Sharkinjector and Dinan cold air intake. In the meantime, I have a '91 3 series that I am currently rebuilding into a track car for SCCA/Club racing purposes. At the moment I dont plan on tracking the M3 except for free track days where I can run the car as aggresively or as leisurely as I please all day long for $100 and a helmut at Nelson Ledges Racetrack near my part of town.
