hey dave, i was just wondering what the little picture under your name is on your posts?

There are several answers to that... The smart-ass answer is, "it's the back of my head". :D

The serious answer is, it's an "Avatar". Some kind of image for people to associate with me. I used to have the old Pelican logo as my avatar, but then Jason showed up using it and I started getting confused--so I changed it.

You can set up an avatar from a list of existing ones, or you can upload a small image and use that. Click on "user cp" (user command post) at the top of the page, then "Edit Options" on that page. Down near the bottom of that list is a place for you to set your avatar.
