which direction with suspension
what are some modest priced stiff struts that work well for agressive driving and limited autocross. Tires are nice goodyear hps and its time to go after the suspension

I understand where you are coming from. I am just bought a Bilstein BTS setup, and will let you know how it goes. I hear good things.
BTW, what do you mean by modest? There are only really two options....Bilstein or Koni. Bilstein is cheaper, but works really well. Koni is more expensive, adjustable, and really stiff.

More importantly: what springs are you using? You do not want stiff shocks, you want shocks that will properly dampen your springs. If you need more overall rate, go to a stiffer spring. Can you give us some more details about your car? (MY, model, other mods and settings) Then we could make a better recommendation for you.

As ettsn says, you wanna do struts and springs at the same time usually if you want a stiffer ride. Also, depending on whether you lower your car some in the process and how much could lead to tire wear and handling issues. And in some instances urethane bushings are more called for, and should be payed attention to. There are so many variables it's not funny.
What car do you have?
