check light on dash ??

i'm driving along then the yellow check light comes on the dash.
and then the brake light circuit failure keeps blinking on the on board computer display it doesn't happend all the times
but all my rear brake lights are working none are burnt out
any ideas or advise i just bought this car a few weeks ago
it is a 92-325i 4door 5speed thanks

Your brakelight switch is at fault here..I had the same thing happen to my car a couple months back...the light would go on intermitantly untill one day it just went on and stayed on for a week strait so i bought a switch..I go to replace the thing and the light goes out and hasent come on since! But atleast i know what it is now if it happens again lol..that was like 3 months ago..maybe youl get lucky too and yours will go off..good luck!!
