Picked up a 1992 325i last week. It was a one owner car. The P.O. picked it up in Germany and had it shipped here. It has been in Arizona its whole life.
I have fixed the sunroof (it was unplugged) and greased the rails. Fixed an oil leak by changing the oil (the lower o-ring on the oil filter bolt hadn't been changed in a while). Cleaned the underside of the car, it was a mess from the oil leak. Flushed and filled the radiator. De-fogged the headlight lenses (used Carnuba wax (temp fix)) thanks to LeeH from the Porsche board. Didn't find any cracked bushings or boots on the suspension. Shocks/ struts have been changed recently. The rear brakes have been changed along with the rotors. I need to replace front pads and resurface rotors, as well as change tranny fluid and diff fluid. So far I have been lucky as all of the fixes have been simple. I do have a problem I could use your help on though... When the cruise control is engaged it fluctuates in speed 5 or so mph. I am going to check all the vacuum hose and also lube the actuator cable. Any help on diagnosing would be much appreciated. Here is a picture...

I wouldn't worry too much about the cruise control. Your gonna find the more you drive it, the more your gonna want your right foot planted firmly on the pedal at all times.
