windows on a convertible

I have a 94 325i convertable. When you open the driver door the window goes down about 1/2" and back up when you close the door. Shouldn't both doors do this?

Thank You in advance,

cmelton

Hey Cmelton,

I've got that same car, and the same issue. It is a micro switch in latch mechanism, and it isn't making contact (you'll probably notice your dome light doesn't come on either). Here is the link of how to replace it. The part is about $20 and you can get it here at Pelican. It's a little work to replace it, but nothing too bad. http://home.earthlink.net/~frankie66/cars-bmw_diy_doormicroswitch.html
