replacement grill -> E36 to E46?

Hey, as odd as it seems, I lost one of my kidney grill inserts the other day... I knew it was a little loose, but didn't think it would fall out. Anyhow, I'm looking at getting a replacement, and I've come across these grills that are wide-lip rimmed and mock the E46 grill, plus they are chrome. Has anyone seen these on a car? Do they look good? Cheezy? Classy? What ever? I've got a Corbin bra on the car which kind of cover the grills, but I'm thinking some chrome kidneys poking out from the bra would probably look pretty cool (plus the car is black, so chrome usually looks pretty classy on black, but don't know about these... sometimes it can look cheezy). Any input... and pics of someone with these in?

I have them on my car and think they look great. I too was concerned that they may be a little ghetto or over the top. To my pleasant surprise, I found that they look classy - not cheesy at all. Here's where I bought mine. If you disregard the "M" emblem the guy put on his, the photo of them mounted on a white E36 should give you some idea:

If you look closely, you can see that the outside of the added width follows the contours of the front of the car pretty nicely.
IMHO, I recommend them - and on black, I think it would definitely look classy.

Thanks Ad.... I'm sold. I just picked up a pair. That was the first pic I've seen with them actually on the car... yeah, they look pretty good.

Well, I got the chromed 'E46' style grills, and they look pretty tough... see for yourself.

Nice. I don't have the bra you do, but they look great on my car as well - it's just a little touch of class that makes my E36 stand out in a subtle way. Enjoy!
