Temp Gauge Not Working

Hi all. This is my first BMW. I have a 325e.
My temp. gauge isn't working at all and I don't even know where to start. Got to find the problem, living in Arizona this time a year is no place to not know what temp the car is ruuning. Had an overheating problem already and had to replace the radiator, seam blew a leak.
I see 3 sensors, appear to be anyway on the top of the thermostat, which one is the senor for the temp gauge ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

Are the other geuges like Tachometer/fuel economy geuge and SI lights working?

Yes, everything else works.
The gauge is parked left with key off, when I turn on the key, it moves up about 1/4" up, which should mean it's getting current, right ? But doesn't move at all when the car is running no matter how long. I see 3 what appear to be senors on the thermo housing. One has a plug clip, another has 2 seperate clips into the same sensor and the 3rd has 2 wires into one clip. Which one is the temp sensor ?
After the over heating problem I had and didn't know it and replacing the radiator, I am affraid to drive it until I know the temp gauge is working. I got real lucky I didn't blow a head gasket. Don't want to press my luck.
Thanks Nictor.

The sender should be the brown connector that has only one elctrical contact inside...

Got ya. Has 2 wires going into a single female brown connector which attaches to a male connector on the sensor.
Thank you.
