replacing hose to slave cylinder
Replacing the hose for the Slave cylinder for clutch to the Break fluid resevior.
Anybody ever done it? The hose is rubber and has a cloth braded cover. Does it have to be the same or will regular rubber pressure hose do? Also, is it a bear of a job? Tks. Lee Scott 1986 325 es w/ 274 k.:) |
Shouldnt be that hard to do, however you'll need to get under the car to do it, and then bleed the hose oncew finished. The hose itself has specialized fittings. and it cheap enough to warrant just replacing it with a new OE BMW hose. We carry it for $32.50. Look here http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/shopcart/BE30/POR_BE30_clutch_pg4.htm#item26 under clutch hoses.
You would bleed it pretty much the same way you bleed brakes. Take a look at this article here. http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-Clutch_Slave/E36-Clutch_Slave.htm It's for an E36, however it works the same way on your car. |
