I have a 1987 325i bmw. I am having trouble with the signals and the spedometer...Being that they both don't work. Can anyone help me in telling me the materials I will need to fix these problems. And possibly the steps too. If anyone can help me I would me so grateful.

Go to the auto parts store and buy a repair manual for a 1987 320i. Then check ou the electrical section of the manual for signals and speedomenter. Then check and trace the wiring inthe wiring diagrams. Hopefully you can read electrical scematics. If you don't now is as good a time as any to learn. I am doing this right now withmy old 81 320 i. I suspect some relays are out. Once you isolate the realy responsible in that circuit, then follow the manual test procedure to test it. Use amultimeter or test light and you willbe able to tellif the relay or flasher is bad. Bring the unit to the store if the foolish sales people can't figure out what part it is. Electrical workinvolved methodical testing. Itis not that hard, but be methodical and logical in your approach and you canisolate your problem. write me back if you still have trouble.

There was a typo there. I meant "1987 325I" not1987 320i
