96 318ti Won't idle

I have a 96 318ti that does not like to idle now. It had been instorage for the winter, and this began after brining it out.

It runs fine going down the road, no loss of power, skip, or anything. It just idles extremely rough and wants to stall. If I keep the RPMs up to 1000 it does fine. Also, the check engine light came on last week, I think as a result of the idleing problem.

Anyone got any ideas where to start?
