Bentley recommends using SAE 90 GL-5 oil. Is Mobil's 75W90 a good substitute for that? If not, what brand is preferred? |

This is the stuff that I recommend for all differentials, and I most Porsche owners run it in both their street and track cars:

Gear Oil
I am considering changing the oil in the transmission of my '87 325is. How difficult is it to change the oil? (I saw the drain plug when rebuilding the shift linkage (a bastardly frustrating and dirty job, I hate that damn clip), but how and where do I pour in new transmission fluid as the top of the transmission is pretty much 100% unexposed?? Also how much fluid does an '87 325is take?
