Unhappy 95 325I wont Idle

My neighbors daughter let the BMW overheat and crack head. I repaired it. The daughter drove it everyday for 2 weeks ran great but this is a 16 year old driving it and I know she has givien a hard time.

I got it back last night it will crank but not run unless I keep it reved up while reving it is making a popping noise in the intake manifold.

I checked coils all firing I checked the injectors all firing with good gas spray I would think enough to make it idle.

A friend thinks it may have jumped a tooth on timing but even a tooth I would also think it would idle just idle rough.

Give me everything you all got to help!!!

Thanx Chanse

No idle

Is the electrical lead on the ICV connected and tight? A loose or disconnected lead will cause a lot of problems with starting and running.
