Adjusting ignition timing.
I have an early production 92 E36 325is. I'd like to play around with ignition timing. I am used to cars having a cam angle sensor that can be turned to adjust the timing, but I can't find such a thing on the 325. Are there ways to adjust timing on these cars?
Thanks, -J |

As far as I'm aware, there isn't a way to do this.... it's all controlled by the ECU.
You might just go for a remap... or change the cams for performance parts..

Pre, what is it, '98? or so?, all the ECU programing was hard coded onto the chip, like a CD-ROM... no remapping the ECU unless you get a new chip in there.
