Exclamation Idle problems on project car

I am in the middle of converting my E36 M3 into a racecar. The interior is completely stripped out, wiring harnesses are exposed. I went to start the car and it is now running rough and dies when I try to reverse w/ clutch still engaged. Have I created a short? Thanks for your thoughts.

Looks like a quick trip to shop would be better than anyone over the net. Any suggestion without actually seeing the car would be a total shot in the dark..... When you said "completely stripped" you didn't really mean completely right? ECU........

lots of things could be causing this! Fueling problem, damaged hoses ICV, MAF, etc etc
