88 325Convert thermostat housing

Hello all!

I am new to the forum, and I have been looking for a good BMW forum. I have a very nice 88 325I Convert. I do have a problem with it - the hose that leads from radiator overflow into the thermostat houseing has coroded and broken off. The antifreeeze obviously runs out. I have taken the thermostat cover/thermostat out, and I connot tell if the part that has broken off is a fitting or part of the housing itself. Removing the housing seems like a big job, but I could be wrong, and am hoping to get lucky that it is just the fitting on the bottom!
Any advice and help will be much appreciated.

Paul
