Window regulator Question
 

My 92 325i needs a new driver's window regulator. I found one from a 94 325i That I can get. I know that the regulator's themselves are the same because the part numbers for the 2 years are the same on several websites. However awhile back someone on ebay was selling a 92 window regulator and said it will only work on a 92. Is there a reason why a 94 window regulator would not work on a 92 or does the ebay guy just not know what his talking about. Thanks a lot

It might depend on the model that it came off of. The only difference I could think of would be between a coupe and sedan.
