E30 325ic starting proplem

Greetings, I own a 1987 325i convertible and experience starting problems when the car is cold or sits for a while. It requires at 15 to 20 cranks before it starts. When it starts it idles rough until it warms up after a few minutes(seems like its running rich). If I shut of the engine and start shortly afterwords it will start ok (2-4 cranks).

I have had several people look at this problem and was never able to revolve. The dealer claims the injectors are bad and need replacement.

Before I move forward with replacing the injectors I would very much appreciate if anyone can help in determining if the cause could be stemming from somewhere else.... I have my doughts that replacing the injectors will solve my starting problem.
