Our high school class is working on a '90 325i BMW with a six-cylinder engine that had a broken timing belt. We removed the engine to work on it in the classroom and to investigate the damage to the pistons and valves. We discovered that one rocker arm was broken and we suspect that at least one valve is damaged. We also have concerns about the scarring on the pistons and want to know whether it warrants replacement. We would like an estimate on how much repairing these parts would cost and the best procedure for doing so. We have attached pictures of the cylinder head and the valve tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the bentley repair manual? You should consider replacing all the rocker arms and valves, but the piston is up to you if there's not obvious scarring. Sounds like it was at pretty low RPM when the belt broke if you only think you broke one rocker arm and most of the valves aren't bent.
