auto trans replacement
i have a opportunity to purchase a '89 325i with a bad auto transmission at a cheap price. Does anyone have rough idea what i might expect to pay for decent used transmission, what years models would fit in this, and how big a job it is to replace one. I would appreciate any input someone may have. thanks, john

John,
Check some of our local Atlanta junk yards or eBay. I will just be difficult to predict what kind of shape this thing will really be. To do this in your home's garage environment won't be easy (without a lift), but I suppose that it could be done. |
