noisy noisy VERY NOISY!
now driving wife's 87 325i w/about170k. VERY loud clicking and ticking valve train (was adjusted to spec 6months ago but became very noisy again quickly soon after) now louder than ever! Also with clutch out in neutral loud groaning(why throw out bearing noise with new clutch) clunking infirst gear but no others upon shifting. Tranny is less than 40k--Has she destroyed my car?

Ticking
Valvetrain tick could be attributed to worn eccentrics. Have had problems with them having a flat spot. Adjust valves, and the flat spot can find its way back. Pull cover, check if to specs. If not...replace eccentrics and bolt/nut.
As for tranny...She fried it! J/K Stumped me
