Hello everybody,
I drive 1993 BMW 318is, 2 door coupe. Recently the inner part of the sunroof went all the way inside, and when I closed it, only outer part came back. the inner of the sunroof is still inside and is not coming back. The inner of the sunroof is not driven by motor and can be moved back and forth by hand. I can see its stuck inside and I'm trying to pull it out but cann't do so because of the space limitations. what shall I do ?? Somebody pls help me out. Thanks, Sarang |

The sunroof motor is supposed to move the inner panel. To get it to come back out you might want to use something to hook the edge on the top of it and pull it out that way.

Try taking out the sunroof motor that will allow it to move freely and if that doesn't work you will probably have to drop the whole thing. Also you can try removing the roof panel and shining a flashlight back in there to see if you can see it hung up try this link and look under sunroof repair to see how to remove the panel. http://www.bimmerdiy.com/e36
