failed dme HELP!!!!

First off the dme got flooded so I replaced it then I replaced the
fuel pump relay then the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft
sensor. then when I tried to start the car it would not start it
would just turn over then it started grinding like it was the starter
or something??

Your description isn't very detailed but if the starter is making a grinding noise it could be the solenoid which means you need a new starter. I don't think they are owner serviceable.

However, the first thing I would check is the battery.

Its a 94 318is and I think your right but what I cant understand is why
it would not start when it was turning over could it be the dme relay??

thanks

I've had a bad battery turn the engine but not start on more than one occasion.

As far as the turning over for a bit then a grinding noise I don't know but it sounds like the starter. I don't see how a DME relay could cause a grinding noise.

The grinding has stopped but it still wont start its not getting fire

things I have replaced - dme, dme relay, fuel pump relay, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, spark plugs and still no fire
could it be a problem with the other dme???
