Odometer Gears Fixed - still not working
Hey,
I have since replaced my SI board and my entire dash, etc.... with new parts. I also replaced the 3 gears in my odometer (from odometergears.com). When it was on the table, it looked like the gears moved just fine. I have opened up that gauge cluster twice now trying to figure out why the odometer still doesn't work when I drive the car. All the other gauges work beautifully now. Is there an electronic thingy on the speedo that moves the odometer gears? Could that be dead? I'm at a loss.... Paul |
Well, here's something for everyone... I noticed today driving my car, with the defunct odometer, that it turned over .4 miles on the trip gauge. Why would it all of a sudden turn over some mileage? It has new gears and works perfectly when I have the speedo out of the car (on the table). What should I do to make it work in the car?
