a few questions

hi, just got a p reg 96 320 great car, could anybody help me with some questions about the car.

1. the last owners said that BMW told them that this engine has no timing belt to change is this correct.

2. i can just make out the mileage, i have read that the bulb needs changing, where do you get these from and how much and is there a link showing step by step what to do.

3. the fan 3 and 4 work the same speed, 1 and 2 are fine is this a resistor problem? how much do they cost and is there a step by step guild.

He is correct it is a chain not belt, the light bulbs you can get from pelican parts and here is a link on how to pull the instrument cluster out http://logun.org/gauges.htm , and yes it is probably your blower motor resistor which can also be found at pelican and here is how to replace it http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-blower_resistor/E36-blower_resistor.htm I hope this helps you
