E30 power steering freeplay
1989 E30 318i
how d'u adjust the free play on an E30, the whole rack is reconned, the steering plays by about a quarter. there was a website showing me a screw that was clamped by a nut around it but my one doesn't have that one. there is spring covered by a plate bolted by two 13mm bolts and one 22mm underneath.

It may be that your bushings in the steering column are worn. I don't think you can adjust the free play on the rack...
