Angry 1998 BMW 328i - Blue Smoke, Oxygen Sensor, Cylinder misfire

Hi, I just bought a PEAK R5 FCXii to evaluate the check engine code. I have the following problem:

Oxygen sensor control limit, cyl#1-3
Oxygen sensor control limit, cyl#4-6
Oxygen sensor adaptation limit, cyl#1-3
Oxygen sensor adaptation limit, cyl#4-6
Misfire detected, cyl#1 - 6

Also, idle RPM is at 500rpm. And at time when I go out gear (neutral) to brake or shift, the rpm would drop to 0 rpm and engine shuts down (warm engine). Please help. If it is oxygen sensor, which one do i need to? I saw two oxygen senor for 328i on your website. Which one do i need to replace? if two? where are the location of the two oxygen sensor. I only saw one when i open up the hood. Also do I need to replace the oxygen sensor for the catalytic convertor / precatalytic converter. Please show pictures.

It seem like i have a lot of blue smoke coming out of my car when I start the engine. After about 4 hours of rest, the blue would come out of the exhaust when i start my engine. From your article, this seem to be a "valve cover gasket" with "spark plug seal gasket." Would you think this would solve my blue smoke problem. How about the valve guide seal? Is there step by step instruction to do this job?

Many Thanks!

Hi there. Mentioned in your email, I think that these problems can be caused by wire harness problems. Check the project in the 101 book that deals with troubleshooting electrical problems - there's a photo of the trunk wiring that becomes faulty, and can cause problems like these...
