Instrument cluster question 87 325ic
I had my cluster repaired a while ago (87 325ic) and the shop installed the wrong cluster. The differences were subtle and went unnoticed until recently. I have since replaced the cluster with the correct unit. Does any one know what year/model this cluster fits, part # 1 377 306 ? And what is the purpose of the black plug on the back of the tach labeled codier stecker?

It means codify connector. I have no clue, except that maybe it's some type of adjustment for one of the gauges...
