92 325is no start

OK. I replaced the head gasket in my sons car, after he overheated it. Now the car won't start. The spark is good because I can get it to fire on starting fluid. I have fuel going to the injectors, at a high volume and pressure. I have gone over every connection I can find, but I still can't get it running. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, James in NC
