ABS Fault Code
 

I have been getting periodioc ABS Idiot Lights so I was able to get it scanned this morning and it triped a 132 Uspecfied error. The shop I went to is going to do some resaersh but I thougt I would ask around.

Has anyone else seen this?

Periodic ABS light is possibly a dirty or bad wheel speed sensor. What year and model? OBD codes are 4 digits. Can you translate the 132 to the OBD code?

I had a similar issue. Wheel sensor was the culprit. Those things aren’t located in purest of environments, & can have intermittent issues.

Mine was so corroded it had to be drilled out.

Don't know what year/model you have but I had a similar problem with my 94 325ic. It turned out to be the brake pedal position sensor. On my car it is located on the forward side of the brake boost cylinder. I took the sensor apart and it turned out to be a broken solder connection where the socket connects to the circuit board. I re-soldered it and haven't had the light since (3 yrs and counting). Hope this helps. By the way, I also had the codes read at the dealer and it coded all 4 wheel sensors and the computer. You can't always trust the codes!

have same issue with 94 325i, got sensor out metal pin is a pain but sensor is incased in plastic. how you get sensor apart?

The end with the plug is inserted and glued to the outer sleeve. I used a sharp knife and pried between the the sleeve edge and plug end. I did it slowly to try and not crack the sleeve. After you get it loose all the way around it will pull out of the sleeve with the guts and pusher rod. You can then solder the connections and reinstall it in the sleeve. I then used some quality RTV to seal it back up. Hope this helps.
