BMW Roundel Windshield Washer Fluid Sensor

Hello all,

My 92 BMW 325i convertible (which was bought in terrible condition) is almost restored to new, WOW these cars look great when they are taken care of. I do have one SMALL problem that I cannot seem to fix. The Washer Fluid light keeps coming on, on the CHECK board. The tank is full of fluid and comes out of the jets just fine. However, when the tank is empty the light goes off. Any idea what might be going on or how to fix?

THANKS

It sounds like the leveling switch. Check this page out. It will be part #4 at the bottom of the reservoir. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BJ53&mospid=47475&btnr=61_0070&hg=61&fg=45

Thanks LiquidBMW76. My car is an E30 (92-93 convertibles were E30s). Do you think this would be the same problem on the different model?

THANKS, HUGE HELP. Turned out to be very simple. When the mechanic took out the reservoir and put it back in, he did not position the sensor correctly. Works ust fine now.
