Need Help on "Killer" M10 Engine Concept
I have come down with a bad case of midwinter "armchair engineering" and have been working on a concept for a "killer" M10 engine to put in my 1984 BMW 318i.
At present, my thinking is to use: BMW 2002 M10 2.0 liter block (dime a dozen on eBay---well, sorta); BMW E30 M3 (S14 Engine) 2.3 liter crankshaft, connecting rods, & pistons (good used parts available with searching); BMW 318i head (already got 2-3 extras on hand); Schrick 284-degree high-lift camshaft (easily obtainable for $). BMW L-Jetronic EMS (stock system on '84 318i) Would much appreciate any insight, words of wisdom, or other thoughts on this approach. Thanks. Digby Last edited by dwillard; 02-18-2007 at 04:36 AM.. |
