1988 (325 BMW) Something squeals

I HAVE A 1988 325, AND I HEAR A SQUEALING UNDER THE HOOD ONCE AND A WHILE. I'VE CHECKED BELTS REPLACED SOME BEARINGS AND STILL IT HAS NOT GONE AWAY. IF THERE IS ANY BODY WITH AN IDEA I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT THANK YOU

The squeal is mostly caused by the power steering belt. When this belt is improperly loose, glazing occurs causing friction with the wheel that it spins on.

Replace the belt and the problem should go away. Don't use any oil-based lubricant on it.
