cd player problems in '03 325i BMW

Just wondering if anyone has any quick fixes. My factory installed interior cd player for my '03 325i BMW "ate" my cd. The cd is stuck inside, at first it wouldn't play or read that there was even a cd in there. But now it plays the stuck cd. when I push eject it doesn't even make the sound like it's trying to eject it. I first noticed the issue when I would push the eject button the cd would only partially come out and I'd have to carefully pull it out without it going back in. But this time when I put a cd in it never came back out. I don't want to attempt to get it out with any tools for fear I might destroy the cd player, when it might be a fixable issue. Any suggestions?
