Noob wheel size question
I'm a complete noob to BMWs, not new to forums or wrenching. I've searched this forum for wheels and rims and size and stuff, but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for so I'll ask. (and this is probably an often asked question)
What size factory (or possibly otherwise) rims will fit my '92 325i? It's just my daily driver and this car is suffering from a case of near terminal curb rash. I'm asking not necessarily to upgrade but to open my options on used rims. My apologies in advance on my ignorance. Dave Orwig |
All the E36's can wear the same size rims. (Ok the smaller rims wont fir the M3's and the Z's and Ti's are different than the other E36's.)
You should be able to fit any factory E36 or E46 (sedan or coupe) rim on your car, except the E46M3 rims. |
Just curious, if you are switching from a 15" to a 17" or bigger sized wheel, is there a way to recalibrate your speedometer to the slower revolution of the wheel?

In most cases you are going to maintain the same overall diameter. Use this to see if the diameter changes.
