OBC coding plug E30 318i M40 1991
Hello,
I have just installed an OBC coming from a 325e 1987 (TYPE 4.6) on my E30 318i 1991 with an M40 engine. It pluged all fine and works ok except that the fuel consomption is completely off the scale. It gives me a consumption of 17L/100 when it should be around 10L/100 (sorry for you imperial guys, I live in Europe ). I realise that the coding plug is not the right one and have been searching for an M40 coding plug. The closet I found is a coding plug for 318i/is with a M42 engine (part num 65811394111) which is also a 4 cylinder. Does anyone know if there is one specific for M40 engines or if the M42 plug is compatible? Will that sort the problem? Would you have the part number so I could order it. Second problem I got the temperatire sensor and I found where it's supposed to go (left brake air duct) but the conector that hangs under my front left light block does not match the sensor plug. Does anybody knows what could be that plug? Did BMW change the plug in 1991? (I doubt it). Otherwise would you have a wiring diagram so I could route a cable and solder the sensor directly to the OBC (I have a thermocouple 2 wires type sensor). Thanks in advance |
