ball jionts tie rods struts
i have a 1992 bmw 318i the e30 chassis i am currently changing my struts i bought the inserts and what ever and to replace the struts u need to take the control arm down along with the tie rods. now i need to replace one nut bc it got messed up and i cant find it and i need to re-thread the tie rod the problem i am haven is that i cant find new nuts anyone know where i can get them they have the nilon ends on it sort of like a lock nut

any mom and pop hardware store should have high-grade stainless steel metric nylock nuts...

i tried a bunch of hardware stores no luck would the dealer have this i also tried a local auto parts store they said i would need to buy a whole new component such as buying a whole ball joint then needing to replace the control arm too and the tie rod end is simpler but the same situation

Dealer would probably be your best option at this point. They usually have enough loose nuts and bolts in the shop to let you try one on for size.

yeah i went to the dealer today they had them now i just have to wait for a strut rubber cushion that i lost other wise everything is ok thanks alot
